Apps for the 12 Days of Christmas - NextUp

NextUp, which I had written about at the beginning stages of this blog and felt it needed to be shared again, is a web app that allows users to create a topic and add an amount of time that they want to spend on the topic.  Ideally, this app was created with a meeting in mind and the app could still be used during professional development or faculty meetings, but one place it could be implemented is in the classroom.
To use the app, you give a title to your lesson for the day.  You then provide topics for throughout that lesson.  For each topic you provide a time (hours and minutes) that you would want to spend on a certain topic.  Once finished and you click start, the App will countdown each topic individually and then move to the next one automatically for you.  This is a good way to keep students on task, and stay on time with plans for the day.  I know that often time, learning can take more or less time than intended, so this app is certainly not for everyday use, but does provide an option for teachers struggling with classroom management.
See two screenshots below of how NextUp looks and works.
